"El Grupo de juristas 17 de marzo y la Asociación Pro Derechos Humanos de Andalucía (APDHA) han solicitado su personación como acusación popular en el caso de la muerte de Port Piscozub, el joven de nacionalidad polaca fallecido en el albergue municipal el 2 de octubre pocas horas después de haber sido dado de alta por el Hospital Virgen del Rocío con síntomas de malnutrición.
El objetivo de dichas personaciones, en calidad de acusaciones populares, es únicamente determinar si han existido responsabilidades penales, y en el caso de que fuera así, determinar quiénes son los autores, al objeto de impedir que vuelva a suceder un hecho semejante en la ciudad de Sevilla. Una vez ambas asociaciones tengan acceso al expediente médico completo, y a las circunstancias concretas del fallecimiento, estudiarán incluso el plantear una querella, si procediera y existieran indicios de dichas responsabilidades que exceden el ámbito administrativo de responsabilidad."
