The Red and Black Umbrella would also like to wish a very happy birthday to Food not Bombs Cardiff…

*Two years of weekly serves this week!*

There is a party tomorrow night to celebrate -

BONFIRES NOT BOMBS! 7pm at the Wells Hotel, 77 Craddock Street, Riverside, West Cardiff

The Wells Hotel would like to invite you to a bonfire gathering in our wonderful yard, to celebrate Food Not Bombs Cardiff / Bwyd Nid Bomiau Caerdydd’s 2nd Birthday, Bronwen Little Eris Davies’s Birthday and of course bonfire night!

There will be delicious vegan food and cake, and if you would like to donate it will go to Food Not Bombs Cardiff! We will also be accepting donations of non-perishable foods (lentils, pulses, oil, tins of veg etc)

Come along…. Feel free to bring fireworks, wood, cake, food, musical instruments etc…..

Food Not Bombs has celebrated two years of weekly serves! Woohoo! We are continuing to serve free meals at 12:30pm every Friday outside the back of Central Market!

As winter is approaching the plan is to prepare supplies in the kitchen for a cold and damp winter and make sure they don’t get spoiled!!!

Wishlist:

SEALED CONTAINERS AND LOTS OF THEM – Tupperwear, Big Jars, Chinese Takeaway Plastic Pots, Large Yoghurt Pots, Celebration Chocolate Pots etc…. Any containers which has a sealed lid!

Whilst we’re at it, these are some other things which you might be able to donate if you wanted:
- Bowls (ideally plastic)
- Mugs (ideally plastic)
- Cleaning Products: antibacterial spray, washing up liquid, sponges etc….
- Kitchen Roll / Serviettes
- Large Yoghurt Pots for carrying the food in or washing dishes in.

Anarchists organising Jumble Sales?? Well, we disapprove of waste, and love community, so why not!?

Acwstic Afiach

On Tuesday 26th Feb. from 7:30pm Afiach is back again with another bill of awesome artists @ the Wells Hotel.

The event will be raising funds for the Sophie Lancaster foundation which aims to tackle discrimination of subcultures.

As per usual there’ll be food, zines, art and plenty of good company. B.Y.O.B.

Playing on Tuesday are Louise Distras (Lively, angry up and coming folk grrrl,) Lost Soul (Socially conscious acoustic punk,) and the local stylings of Efa Supertramp and Aisha.
